There was no detachment just tears. Short acting gas was used which disappeared in 5 days. All this time I was only focusing on Dr. Berger as my hero not knowing that Dr. Muni is a big name in Ophthalmology! So grateful! Thank you for this podcast!

Dr. Muni of St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto did vitrectomy on my injured eye which had tears due to trauma. PVD occurred 2 weeks after I slipped and fell on ice. There was also hemorrhage and I was not able to see for 2 months. My initial Retinal Specialist just could not decide quickly. Fortunately, I brought myself to the steps of St. Michael finding out it is a teaching hospital. Dr. Muni was actually a resident under the supervision another skilled Retinal Surgeon Dr. Alan Berger. 🤩
